School Goals for 2012-13

In the coming year, our priority initiatives are summed up in the following
multi-year goals. Together we will:

1.] Continue the implementation of Response to Intervention.

Through the use of data collected from formal and informal assessments, students will be indentified that need RtI at one of three levels.  This year our focus will include students that are struggling at grade level standards and students performing far beyond grade level standards.  The TAT process will be used to identify students and/or groups that need this intervention.

2.] The Common Core State Standards and the Appendices will be studied and teachers will begin to integrate them into planning and teaching.

This year the teachers will focus on the Math CCSS through the implementation of EDM ESuite.  Changes in the ELA CCSS will be highlighted and materials provided to move towards the changes.

3.] Continue Our Ongoing Commitment to the Skillful Integration of 21st
Century Learning Tools.

The staff will develop skills for researching, evaluating and using online educational tools - web 2.0 tools such as: E-Suite, Glogster, IExcel.  Through the use of onsite technology equipment - LCD projectors, netbooks, iPads, and desktop computers, staff will learn how to integrate web 2.0 tools into classroom activities and engage students in collaboration and higher level thinking skills to prepare them as 21st century learners.
