		Newfields Elementary School News NES Spring Assessments Have Begun! Our awesome First and Second Graders completed the Gates-MacGinitie Tests of Reading by the end of April. Their teachers report that the kids took the experience very seriously, and worked hard on the challenging battery of tests. Early indications are that they did very well, by the way. Our Third, Fourth, and Fifth Graders will be taking the NWEA Measures of Academic Progress computer-based tests during the 2nd through 4th weeks of May. Our Fourth Graders (the luckiest ones of all!) will also take science tests for NECAP within the same timeframe. Go Get 'Em, Silver Arrows!! *Last Updated: Monday April 28, 2008*
